This class covers basic shop safety and the operations of the Equipment listed below. Equipment: Band, table & miter saws, jointer, planer, spindle & disc sander, and drill press. Participants must be at least 18 years old.
Basic use and procedures of using the Factory Two Laser cutter
This simple skirt can be worn with t-shirts or blouses. Consider pairing this with one of the earlier summer tops you made in class this month. We supply fabric but you're welcome to bring your own 2 yards of cotton or denim fabric.
This is an introduction to the wood lathe. In addition to using the various tools, we will go over safety and the basic operation of a wood lathe. However, we can accommodate most wood turners at their current level. Let us know when you sign up!

You will be guided step-by-step through the entire practical process, leaving with the skills to turn your designs into custom apparel. What You'll Learn: Artwork Preparation: How to properly prep and print design transparencies. Screen Prep: Coating screens with light-sensitive emulsion. Image Exposure: Burning your design onto the screen using precision lighting. Printing & Curing: Hands-on experience printing a single-color graphic onto a garment. What's Included: All tools, ink, and emulsion are provided, along with a t-shirt to print the design on and take home! What to Bring: Please wear old clothes or an apron that you don't mind getting dirty—screen printing can get messy!
Create a beautiful stained glass pendant while learning the fundamentals of soldering with lead-free solder. In this beginner-friendly class, you'll cut, foil, and assemble your glass pieces into a unique wearable work of art. We'll focus on safe soldering techniques, proper tool use, and finishing methods, and you'll leave with a completed pendant and the skills to continue exploring stained glass. Refund Policy Twenty-four-hour notice (by email info@factorytwo.org or phone call 810-354-7766) is required to cancel a class ticket or reschedule a class. No refunds or class rescheduling will be offered if 24-hour notice is not given. Exceptions to this policy for extreme circumstances are at the discretion of Factory Two.
Learning Lathe: Wood Turning Class This is a Experience, and skill building class not a checkout class, no certification will be earned, and a certification is not required, but you will gain a deeper understanding of the mechanics of wood turning and a better feel for the tools
